As history is long, family trees will always have many hidden and undiscoverable roots - it really is a never ending quest - but it is this journey of discovery that I can help you with.  It is not just the bare bones of family history research or the gathering of facts which is important, but the extended story.  What was it really like for those people, living in that time, in that place?  What local or national events shaped their thinking and life choices?  This is where I stand in terms of Family History Research.  I want to make these people as fully rounded as possible.

I have already been published in the BBC's Who Do You Think You Are? Magazine (June 2011) and have appeared in Your Family Tree Magazine.  I also write on local social history for Staly Mag, the local magazine of Stalybridge in Greater Manchester.

Whether you are just setting out with your research and need free, general advice on where to start looking; or, if you need help to find specific family records; or, if you would like someone to discover your family tree on your behalf, then I would love to hear from you and will help in any way I can.

I also offer a publication service - whether it be a cookbook full of your family recipes; a published biography of a loved one; a professionally bound photograph book; or a collation of letters, notes, drawings or diary entries immortalised in print, I am able to help you preserve memories so that they can be forever cherished by loved ones and future generations.

I am also in the process of another creative project, providing stylish, artist 'memory palettes' - decorative, wooden artist trays filled with a family member’s intimately treasured trinkets, protecting these small keepsakes so that they may stand the test of time and symbolise personal histories in a uniquely personal way.  Please see the 'Personal Palettes' page for more information.
